Hello everyone, I’m sorry this took so long to get online but I’ve been putting it off to be honest because I wanted to be sure to get it right. Just today I realized that I should simply get it up, as God has already prepared the hearts of those who are going to read it and find perhaps some more clarity and depth to the Word than they realized. I hope this ongoing study blesses you as much as it does me.

How I’ll Break Up Each Study

A short word is needed to clarify how I’ll arrange each study even though it might in the end seem exceedingly obvious. Basically I’ll take a section of scripture generally no longer than 7 verses and I’ll put the whole scripture at the top of the study. After this I’ll then break it down one verse at a time with the notes following each individual verse. Finally I’ll do a recap of the most important things we’ve learned from the study of this section of scripture.

John 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

(All scripture quotations are from the ESV- English Standard Version of the Bible).

So let’s get to it! Follow me after the break!

mystudies. I’ve recently been reading through the Gospel of John, I read Chapter Chapter 7 today so I’ll be backing up a little bit and starting over. I’m hoping that others will also do Inductive Studies of the Gospel of John for themselves, and please do feel free to comment and question in the comments section below the posts if ou have questions and I will as always endeavor to answer them for you.

See you in the near future with a study of approximately the first 5 verses of the Gospel of John.

In Christ,

I just added a new page on Inductive Bible Study the method of Bible Study that I wholeheartedly recommend!

Please check it out as this is the type of Bible Study that will not only help bring the Bible to life like never before for you but it will also help you understand the verse by verse Bible Study breakdowns I’ll be doing more of in the near future.

Here’s the link or you can access it through the menu system.

How to Study the Bible Inductively

In Christ,

I’ve just read a very interesting article that can be found at a link at the bottom of this post in which scientists erased TIME!

That’s right some scientists at Cornell University actually erased time for 40 Trillionths of a second!

If you think that sounds like a short amount of time it is- it is an incredibly fractional amount of time. However there is one person who can hide time if you will for an even shorter period, and He promised to do that for His Bride. This person is God and that promise is known as the Rapture (Greek: Harpazo) which means to be snatched out by force. The event is described in fantastic detail in 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18– but there’s another passage that discusses just how FAST this Rapture is going to take.

1st Corinthians 15:51-53

51 Behold! I tell you a mystery.  We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and w this mortal body must put on immortality.

What exactly is the Twinkling of an eye? How fast is that?

I’m not able to participate in Market Night (Thursday Night downtown in Redlands California) as much anymore seeing as the Lord called me to participate in a Bible Study group that meets on Thursday nights- but I still take the time to help when I can. Last night was one of those nights I had a very enjoyable time sharing God’s Grace with those who came by the booth.

On the Aeropagus banner across the top of the booth are the words Origins-Meaning-Purpose-Destiny, I’ve found that sharing using those four words as a basis to be quite helpful. Discussing these four words objectively can help make sharing your faith a lot easier than it sometimes seems, and let’s be honest sharing ones faith can be very intimidating.

After the break I’ll take each word and break it down into a way to open the way of communication, hopefully you’ll find this post helpful and it will enable you to feel more confident in sharing your faith!

Here is Webisode One of The BibleRunner! Now WITH FIXED Subtitles!

Synopsis: It is two years after the Rapture of the Church. The Global Protective Forces (GPF) are constantly on the lookout for Christians who continually disturb the peace with their singular outlook. The world thought that it would be quieter when all those Christians vanished, but now there are more in this surviving remnant than there ever were before. However Christians are forced to exist in underground communities referred to as the Christian Underground (C.U.), they are branded as criminals, and snatched from the streets on a whim by GPF forces. It is in this would that I found Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, now my life is His and I do the work He wants me to do. Along with groups of like people around the world I’m part of a team of people called Runners, we deliver sensitive information from C.U. location to C.U. location. The Bible has been outlawed and those found are destroyed, it is my job to get the Word, hard copy or digital- or what ever needs to be transported safely to its destination. We do this by foot- there is too much surveillance on public transportation- and the average citizen would turn us in for a nickle.

My name is Damian McAnders…but I’m known as The BibleRunner.

This is a short film if you will nearly 15 minutes in length shot on location in Redlands California.

Thanks for viewing!

In Christ,

Today God put a very important topic on my heart- The Signs of the Times- no not the Adventist magazine…but the Signs of the END Times. And how we should be acting as Christians in light of the Word of God. Check it Out!

Until next time…be looking up!

In Christ,

As an Adventist most of my time was spent listening to sermons delivered by family and friends that featured a lot of proof texting to prove a point that supported their already held beliefs. I had no idea at the time that I was dangerously unprepared for any kind of Spiritual Warfare that would rear its ugly head in my life. Sure I went out with the knowledge I had, but I might as well have been shooting blanks, I was dangerously under powered. I had practically no knowledge of Biblical truth, while I could feel and sense the oppressive spiritual forces of the enemy constantly on the attack and threatening to overwhelm me.

On the night I was born again as I’ve shared here in the past God allowed me to experience in every sense of the word the spiritual battle that was raging over my eternal Spirit. I was woefully unprepared from a personal standpoint but as I trusted God to never give me more than I could handle I knew there was a reason for the overwhelming nature of the display of God’s true power that night. That reason was a confirmation, the Holy Spirit had been leading my walk for a while by the time the events of this night came around, this night I was to confirm my decision.

I’m writing this article because I want to make a few things clear, if you know friends Adventist or of any other denomination they will probably invite you to church. My first advice is to go, absolutely, do go to church with them.

I advise you to also do the following (things you should do anyway or NOT DO ):

1: Make sure you’ve put on the armor of God and are living your life in Christ.

2: Take a good study Bible with you. (Many Adventists will use plain Bibles or plain Bibles that are Adventist study Bibles in disguise) but showing up with a good study Bible is a must.

3: Listen carefully, taking good notes or a digital recording of the sermon. Make sure you make notes of all Bible passages ( this is something most Adventists don’t do) this enables you to go back later and use the 20/20 study style to see if the verses used were taken out of context.

4: Do NOT whip out a copy of Christianity Today, Christian Century, Proclamation or any other Christian magazine and read it during the sermon so that you don’t listen to the heresy. (I mention this only because I’ve seen my mum whip out her Review and Herald or Signs of the Times magazine and read away during a Calvary Chapel service). God has you there for a reason, He will help you discern the wheat from the chaff in any sermon, and will nourish you in the Spirit. In fact reading a magazine of any variety during a church service is a slap in God’s face, once again, he brought you to that service for a reason.

5: Do engage in discussion, and in discussion let the Holy Spirit lead what you say even if it makes you or those who invited you uncomfortable.

I’ll let this speak for itself.

The Bible is about Christ and how you can be…

In Christ.
