Here’s the one with the Voiceover.

Yes I’ve gone and done it, I’m going to ask for help to deliver a much better realization the the BibleRunner Universe through the pastoral staff of the churches I attend to make the BibleRunner Webisodes exciting and high impact.

I shot the teaser trailer using my Sony Point and Shoot Digital and the music is from the Soundtrack for my one of my old fanscripts which  Andy Barnes composed for me many moons ago.

I will be uploading the same trailer with a voice over track instead tomorrow.

Hope this has piqued your interest.

In Christ,

Ross

Inspirational Bible Verses

I thought it high time that I finally share some more of my poetry on here on the BibleRunner and I can think of no better reason to write my first poetry post, in a long time, then about Psalm 23.

I wrote this verse on Psalm 23 for a book that my Mum is putting together, since we are working on a different edit of the verse for that publication, one that I feel differs significantly from the original you are about to see I have chosen to post the original here. The story behind this verse is that I was asked to write the 23rd Psalm from the perspective of my time being homeless and living on the street by Grace through Faith.  (Technically I am still homeless in that I am living with a Brother in Christ in his place by his grace).

So last week I sat down to finally take a good long look at the 6 verses of the 23rd Psalm to break it down, and I wrote the first of many drafts. Yesterday God brought me back to it again with the unconventional, and daunting proposal, of writing it more as a traditional Psalm than a poem.  I’m humbled to share that psalm/poem with you today.

I’ve numbered the verses of my poem so that you can tell where each verse of the original Psalm is broken down. I hope you find peace as I share with you: When I’m Walking the Streets.

ESV Study Bible Hardcover Cover

I’m writing this article because I want to make a few things clear, if you know friends Adventist or of any other denomination they will probably invite you to church. My first advice is to go, absolutely, do go to church with them.

I advise you to also do the following (things you should do anyway or NOT DO ):

1: Make sure you’ve put on the armor of God and are living your life in Christ.

2: Take a good study Bible with you. (Many Adventists will use plain Bibles or plain Bibles that are Adventist study Bibles in disguise) but showing up with a good study Bible is a must.

3: Listen carefully, taking good notes or a digital recording of the sermon. Make sure you make notes of all Bible passages ( this is something most Adventists don’t do) this enables you to go back later and use the 20/20 study style to see if the verses used were taken out of context.

4: Do NOT whip out a copy of Christianity Today, Christian Century, Proclamation or any other Christian magazine and read it during the sermon so that you don’t listen to the heresy. (I mention this only because I’ve seen my mum whip out her Review and Herald or Signs of the Times magazine and read away during a Calvary Chapel service). God has you there for a reason, He will help you discern the wheat from the chaff in any sermon, and will nourish you in the Spirit. In fact reading a magazine of any variety during a church service is a slap in God’s face, once again, he brought you to that service for a reason.

5: Do engage in discussion, and in discussion let the Holy Spirit lead what you say even if it makes you or those who invited you uncomfortable.

Hollywood Sign

Well let’s be serious for a moment, we know that unregenerate, in other words those still dead in their sins cannot rightly understand the word of God. That is why unbelievers don’t take the Bible seriously, and take seriously, life evolving from sludge.

(Here’s a hint even if the entire universe were 15 Billion years old…we still wouldn’t have evolved yet.)

But I digress this post is not about evolution…well not really…it’s about the evolution of further idiocy in Hollywood. As apparently the latest idea to come across someones mind, is to make a comedy movie set one year after the Rapture.

It is to be called Rapturepalooza.

Yesterday I did a general post about the new book on Seventh Day Adventism titled The Heartbeat of Adventism: The Great Controversy in the Writings of Ellen White.

Today we are going to look at the sections of the published book and I’ll reveal a little more of the Adventist thinking in comparison to Evangelical thinking of the matter addressed by each section.

I will be Bolding what Adventists teach and Section Headings of the book and Italicizing what Biblical Christianity teaches for clarity. Sometimes I won’t even mention what Adventists believe because it would take a post all by itself, hence why Adventists need a huge BOOK to explain their Great Controversy Theme (GCT).

Section 1: Introduction: The Great Controversy Theme Is the Grand Central Theme of the Bible

Despite the fact that the main theme of the Bible is Man being created to have an eternal relationship in the grace of God. Man loosing that eternal grace filled relationship with God. And God unfolding His divine plan already in place (no plan B-Z), to bring is back into a right relationship with Him, by His own sacrifice and His own grace.

Section 2: The Great Controversy Theme Explains the Background for the Rise of Sin Suffering and Death

A GCT is not needed to explain what the Bible already clearly explains. This the Bible does and it does it in much fewer pages. In fact after the first three chapters of Genesis God felt He had given us enough information about the origin of sin to get it straight. A few other details followed but none of them change the key points of how Sin and Death entered in Genesis 1-3.

Lies

This Book will reveal the wholly unbiblical underpinnings of Seventh Day Adventism

“Understanding the theme in this book will reveal to the world the unbiblical heresy of the Adventist Church. Comparing this work to the Bible itself and what it teaches will reveal Adventism and the Great Controversy theme to be heresy of the highest order”- Ross Cooper

If you truly want to understand the heresy being perpetrated by the denomination known as Seventh Day Adventists I would recommend this book.  In fact I’d recommend this book for any Evangelical who is concerned about this so called Christian denomination and for any Adventist that is concerned that what they are being taught might in fact NOT to Biblically sound.

2 Samuel: 3:16 And her husband went along with her, weeping behind her, to Bahurim. And Abner said to him, Go, return! And he returned.

Sometimes a relationship is filled with the unthinkable and the unthinkable can bring tears. In this case after quite a time David asks for His wife Michal to be returned to him for 500 Philistine foreskins. So much time had passed that Michal had actually married another dude and he’s not happy at all. In fact he follows along behind and won’t leave things alone, He’s in fact so sad that he’s in tears. Copious manly tears.

Wait hold on 500 Philistine foreskins!? Yeah, sounds like a brilliant asking price, and also sounds fantastically weird. Truth be told David did have moments where he did strange things, not to mention things against the laws that God had given to the Israelites.

Martin from the Former Adventist Fellowship group in Redlands was driving me home and we got to talking about Romans Chapter 7. And I felt I needed a challange I guess because I felt like the Lord was leading me to write lyrics based on that passage.

So Martin folks here’s the lyrics to Romans 7 (Rise) as usual if you feel impressed to put them to music let me know they are open and free to use by all.

Romans 7 (Arise)

After the fall, we’re pointed to the Law; which points us simply to the Christ.

When we repent, He is heaven sent; the Spirit seals us and saves our lives.

Though we are saved, we’ve misbehaved; it is the sin that is still within us.

We wish we would, do what we should, yet we are filled with such disgust.

Through Christ the old man is dead.

Yet sin still rears its ugly head.

Through Christ the old man is dead.

Yet sin still rears its ugly head.

Through Christ…Arise!

What’s goin on, our sins are gone, as far away as the east is from the west.

And still we sin; it seems we cannot win, though we try to do our very best.

We want to cry, we don’t know why; this doesn’t seem to make a bit of sense.

We truly know, our lives do show, the Holy Spirit lives in these earthly tents.

Through Christ the old man is dead.

Yet sin still rears its ugly head.

Through Christ the old man is dead.

Yet sin still rears its ugly head.

Through Christ…Arise!

What we want to do, we do not do.

Oh Lord what are we going to do?

We’re going to trust our souls to you.

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ Our Lord.

We trust you through the Power of your Word.

Through Christ the old man is dead.

Yet sin still rears its ugly head.

Through Christ the old man is dead.

Yet sin still rears its ugly head.

Through Christ…Arise!

When He came down He suffered so, He knew that to the Cross He’d go.

And then He’d be placed in a tomb, knowing that He would rise up soon!

Through Christ…Arise!

Through Christ…Arise!

Through Christ…Arise!
