Hello folks!

The Former Adventist Fellowship Conference has started and you can join us via livestream!

We’re talking about the New Covenant.

 FAF Conference Livestream!

Please do come and join us.

In Christ,

Hello everyone!

Now I’ve shared in the past I came out of Seventh-Day Adventism. I was one of 3 Pastors Kids growing up being taught in Adventist churches and when we could afford it Adventist schools. In 1987 I was Born Again, and began to live as an Undercover Christian and have since been unlearning years of indoctrination and been replacing that with verse by verse through the Bible Detox!

It must be said that the Detox has been worth it, but once a year, every February, I attend the Former Adventist Fellowship Conference!

The last two years we have live-streamed the event and that will be continuing this year as well starting tomorrow morning!

This year we are going to get into an awesome in depth weekend on The New Covenant!

Former Adventist Fellowship Website.

Starting tomorrow there should be a link to the live-stream there if not I will quickly post a link tomorrow. So come and join us! Watch the live-stream and join the conversation.

God Bless.

English: The Covenant Confirmed, by John Steeple Davis (1844-1917), as in Exodus 24 (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

The other day I was reading through Exodus 24 and came upon the passage we’re going to look at first below and then thing that struck me the most about it was what was done in verse 8. This was a solemn ceremony of dedication to the Lord, the Israelites were being brought closer to God by means of the Old Covenant– it was God’s provision to draw them close to Himself. Making them a peculiar people and a Holy nation.

However that’s not all we’re going to talk about today, we’re also going to talk about the New Covenant which was also inaugurated by blood and sacrifice. However this was the best sacrifice spilling the only blood that can take away sin. The New Covenant was something wholly different from the Old Covenant so much so that even in Hebrews the Old Covenant was stated as being “about to disappear.

Let’s look at the Inauguration of the Old Covenant.

Inaugurating the Old Covenant

Moses came and told the people all the commands of the Lord and all the ordinances. Then all the people responded with a single voice, “We will do everything that the Lord has commanded.” And Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord. He rose early the next morning and set up an altar and 12 pillars for the 12 tribes of Israel at the base of the mountain. Then he sent out young Israelite men, and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed bulls as fellowship offerings to the Lord. Moses took half the blood and set it in basins; the other half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. He then took the covenant scroll and read it aloud to the people. They responded, “We will do and obey everything that the Lord has commanded.”

Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, “This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you concerning all these words.”

Exodus 24:3-8

To set this up one must realize that in Chapter 20 you have the Ten Commandments given to Israel to set them apart from any other nation. Chapters 21-23 are all about the Ordinances that the Israelites were also to keep in order to be Holy to the Lord. Great care is taken here to go into the minute details to ensure that all of the ordinances have clarity so none can be incorrectly understood and thus broken without knowledge.

Growing up as a Seventh Day Adventist PK I used to hear a phrase quite a lot and and the way I was taught and understood it shaped my way of thinking as a youngster. Let me recount it for you here:

Do you sin because you’re a sinner or are you a sinner because you sin?

The way I learned things was that the case was that I was a sinner because I sinned but that’s not right, not at all.

We’re All Sinners

Let’s just get the obvious out of the way right now The Bible states that we’re ALL Sinner’s and and have fallen short of the glory of God.

You can find that right here in Romans 3:23:

23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

So once again we’ve all sinned…but have we sinned because we’re sinners or are we sinners therefore we sin?

Christ and The Pharisees

The other night I was going through a long list of comments awaiting approval, it had been a pretty tough week but there was no good reason for me to send one comment to the trash. Simply stated I made a mistake- however it’s a mistake I can rectify by writing a upcoming series of blog articles this one being the first.

In the comment it stated flatly that Once Saved Always Saved (OSASwas one of the Devils’ greatest lies, right away I took great offense at the statement- not just personally but the Holy Spirit that indwells in me made it clear to my spirit that the statement was flat out wrong.

So to be blunt yes I wholly believe in OSAS and in this article I’ll give you a number of reasons why I feel that the Bible backs up OSAS and my beliefs about it.

Born Again

3 There was a man from the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Him at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one could perform these signs You do unless God were with him.”

Jesus replied, “I assure you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

“But how can anyone be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked Him. “Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born?”

Jesus answered, “I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born again. The wind blows where it pleases, and you hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” John 3:1-8 (Emphasis Mine)

Born Again can be translated as Born of Heaven or Born of God. When we believe unto Salvation God send the Holy Spirit to Indwell and Seal us- He also brings OUR Spirit back to life enabling us to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

Being Born of water- Physical Birth is all well and good but we’re Born Spiritually Dead. If someone were to be Born of the water and live a “good” life…perhaps even attend church, help at the soup kitchen, devote time to needy youth- live a full and giving life and not be Born of The Spirit…Born Again…they would still be eternally lost.

I just added a new page on Inductive Bible Study the method of Bible Study that I wholeheartedly recommend!

Please check it out as this is the type of Bible Study that will not only help bring the Bible to life like never before for you but it will also help you understand the verse by verse Bible Study breakdowns I’ll be doing more of in the near future.

Here’s the link or you can access it through the menu system.

How to Study the Bible Inductively

In Christ,

Celebrating 400 years of the KJV

This year the Christian Church is celebrating 400 years of the King James Version of the Holy Bible, the first bible that truly made it possible for all people to be able to read the Word of God for themselves. Many people still use the KJV in their studies, it is preached from, read from, and held in hands of many who go to church on Sunday (and Saturday). If it wasn’t for the KJV version of the Bible it is questionable whether we would now have even more accurate and arguably clearer version of the Bible like the HCSB and ESV available to us today.

There is no greater book in Christianity to be celebrating than the Bible. Period.

The Bible is the only way to find out all the truth about everything you need to know for a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Period.

Nothing needs to be added to this revelation in fact the Bible says that Jesus himself was the last messenger that God was sending to man. Jesus testimony held all the pieces needed, the Apostles built upon those teachings as they were led by the Holy Spirit, the entirety of the Bible is ALL the information needed…period.

Here is my unabridged Testimony on leaving Adventism and stepping out in faith with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Hope you find it uplifting and interesting.

In Christ,

My latest youtube video is the start of another series called Whiteboard Wisdom!

I have a small whiteboard that I sometimes carry because some people respond better to diagrams than just the spoken word so I thought…hmmmm, can I bring that to use to share my faith with you all online.

You bet, this episode is about the Second Coming of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ!

Check it out!

In Christ,
