Well this just in the Obama Administration, in an unsurprising move when one considers what the Bible says the world will be like at the time of Jesus return for His Church, has backed  off on the Anti-Gay Marriage Law.

What exactly does this mean?

It means that the U.S. Government will no longer stand up and defend Biblical marriage, the only marriage thank you very much, between a man and a woman.

Today is the first day of 3 for the Former Adventist Fellowship weekend in Redlands California! We are meeting on the campus of Trinity Church this Friday, Saturday and Sunday so feel free to come on by!

Tonights keynote address from 7-9:15 is open to whoever want to attend so if you’re in the area drop on in, you will be warmly welcomed.

So far this morning we’ve had 3 excellent and scripturally robust presentations.

Pastor J. Mark Martin Pastor and Founder of Calvary Community Church in Arizona had the first and last pre-lunch talks about Can the Rapture be supported by the Bible? (In case you were wondering the answer is…YES!) And His second talk called Can belief in the human spirit be supported by the Bible? once again the Biblical evidence was very much in favor of the YES vote!

The middle talk of the morning was presented by Dale Ratzlaff and was calledDoes the Sabbath continue in the New Testament? The answer that the Bible presents is that Jesus is our Sabbath Rest and that the Sabbath was simply a shadow of Jesus Christ and the full rest that can be found in him for anyone.

I’ll be posting follow ups and other post throughout the upcoming weeks on the weekend and going into a lot more detail on each presentation. It is my hope that you will be led to a deeper understanding of Christ and the full meaning of the Bible through all the articles you will read on this blog.

God Bless,

Ross

Just how messed up is the world by the ravages of sin…it’s messed up so badly that the Super Bowl commercial below was REJECTED by Fox for … well apparently for the following.

“advancing particular beliefs or practices,” which is against company policy.

Every commercial shown on television advances particular beliefs or practices Fox…I would have been impressed if you were in fact up front and honest and simply stated: we won’t show this since it shares Christian beliefs.

If you had said…it shares the specific Christian belief that the only way to be saved was because Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross, and we can’t support that I’d have been even more impressed.

What do you think?

With events in the Middle East accelerating to a fever pitch my thoughts go to the fact that Paul himself thought he might be alive when Christ returned to call His church to be with Him. This is known as the imminent return of Christ for His Bride the Church, the Gathering Together, or the Rapture of the Church. Rapture comes from the Greek Harpazo which means to snatch up by force.

A short but complete look at the passage in John 14:1-3 from the Pre-Tribulational Perspective (That Christ comes and Raptures His Church to be with Him before the 7 Year Tribulation Period. I believe it is clearly taught here by Jesus and later by Paul directly from Jesus in 1st Thessalonians 4 and in First Corinthians.

You might be watching the news from Egypt, Jordan, and Yemen wondering just what is going on?

What is going on is the fulfillment of Bible Prophecy.

It is prophesied that in the time of the end  all of the nations bordering Israel will become it’s enemies, that process has now been greatly accelerated.

Not only that but Iran has said on more than one occasion that they will use their nuke or nukes to take out the Nation of Israel as soom as they have them in their arsenal. Most folks in the know are of the opinion that such an event could happen very very soon.

Of course another prophecy says that once Israel is established as a nation, it will never be removed as a nation.

And yet another, this one from Jesus states that the generation that saw Israel re-established as a nation (1948) would not pas away until all things had been fulfilled.

The Nation of Israel is protected by God. God is sovereign over ALL creation.

What God has promised He will do.

Are you ready to face your maker?

In Christ,

Ross
