There are many people in the world that can’t seem to find satisfaction. They might have the perfect face, the most awesome car, or a most prestigious job but they find that when they take the time to really settle down for more than five minuets they are not satisfied. Perhaps they tell themselves they’re going to give it some serious thought, and sure enough they actually appear to be taking the time to engage some pretty serious thought processes. Their eyes light up and they realize exactly what they need to do, they need to buy something. Something new. That will give them satisfaction for sure, I mean it works every three weeks or so.

There’s something seriously wrong with this picture, however it is the way that a vast majority of people deal with a low feeling of satisfaction. Buy this new pair of shoes, buy this new watch, buy this new phone, and buy this new laptop. It goes on and on and most of the spending is done with money that a good number of these people don’t even have. Most of it is done with the slide of one of on average 8 credit cards, is it any wonder that most everyone is in debt or debt consolidation. And I’d imagine that doesn’t bring much satisfaction either.

The big problem here is that people are trying to find satisfaction by changing their exterior, or the things they already have. They’re upgrading to the most awesome and the prettiest when in fact the problem is that they are only perpetuating a shallow surface satisfaction. The truth of the matter is that they all need to change what’s inside instead.

Now don’t take me to literally you can’t change your muscle, bones or viscera. Not only would it hurt but also it would probably get very messy. However you can change who’s in charge of your heart, and in tandem your thoughts and your life. You can find satisfaction that is deep and real, that doesn’t rely on superficial things.

You know I just realized that this could still both hurt and be very messy but I can also tell you that it will be worth it.

There are three steps on the road towards being satisfied and each one is difficult but necessary. It is best to tackle them one at a time and in order or you might feel overwhelmed and just give up. This would certainly please one individual who has insinuated his way into the very core of your being; it’s time for a transplant.

Exodus 3:16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel and say to them, Jehovah the God of your fathers has appeared to me, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, I have surely visited you and have seen what is done to you in Egypt.

God is speaking to Moses through a burning bush that isn’t burning up. And Moses is coming up with a plethora of excuses of why he cannot do what God is telling him to do. The number of times God has had such a conversation with singular members of the human race burning bush or not has to be pretty high right about now. For the most part though nothing has changed, we as people still make up the lamest excuses for why he can’t possibly mean us.

Moses himself before we’ve even made it to this 16th verse has shared a couple of classics. What makes me worthy and Say I do go and say that I come in the name of God…erm…and they’re not sure I come from you…well what’s the proper name I should use?

I could just imagine God thinking: “Oi vey! Why did I have to give these people the freedom of choice?

We often have some better excuses too, ones that we choose not to use. Moses had a zinger.

Well God I’m sure Moses thought: If you’ve been watching you do remember the fact that I KILLED and Egyptian guard right. Kinda makes me going back there problematic.

The Most Important Page in this Blog

The above link leads to the most important page in this blog, I wanted to make a special post to make sure it didn’t get missed so make sure you check it out.

Gob Bless.

This post is going to be broken into four sections all of which will be pretty short. Afterwards I’m going to put up a new page which will work hand in hand with this post to help you finalize your decision.

What God wants for Us.

Peace and life eternal.

God want us to experience Peace and Life eternal, he wants us to inherit what we lost to Sin back in Genesis.

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son that whosoever belevies in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

Our problem is…

We’re seperated from God and His blessings by our sinfull nature, in other words we’re all sinners and in the hands of Satan. Which is not cool.

Romans 3:23 says: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

However God has provided a way for us to Share in His Glory…

I’m introducing a new category today and I’m calling it Lyrics Without Music

LWM is a place where I will be putting up lyrics which I’ve written for Contemporary Christian Songs that have no music, although of course they do have music and rythm in my mind.

This first set of lyrics is based on an original piece of poetry I wrote back in 2004 and I turned the prose into song lyrics last June.

It’s called I’ll Look to You

I’ll Look to You (2009)

My Lord, this is a prayer and a promise.
These words always for you.
It’s true.

In my darkest hour.
When all seems lost.
My dreams like chaff on the winds of change.
I’ll look to you…I’ll look to you.

In my finest hour.
When I’m full of joy.
My dreams like promises on the winds of change.
I’ll look to you…I’ll look to you.

For you are always there.

All of the time.

When all is lost or in my finest hour.

I’ll look to you.

My Lord this is a prayer and a promise.
These words always for you.
It’s true.

I’ll look to you.
Always to you.
To You.

In Christ,

Eph 6:12 This is not a wrestling match against a human opponent. We are wrestling with rulers, authorities, the powers who govern this world of darkness, and spiritual forces that control evil in the heavenly world.

There is a Physical World, the one that we experience every day. Where we eat bad fast food, breathe in smog and stub our toe in the doorjamb. It’s the same world we us gentlemen often put off taking showers for days at a time, but that’s for another object lesson. It’s the world where we rush back and forth from work, school and or play, where we go to the theater or the cinema. Where we love our friends, family, and children and generally live our lives denying that there is a Spiritual World.

There is in fact a Spiritual World, and it marches along right beside this one, the most accurate term for it would be another dimension. Science has found evidence of more than the dimensions that make up the Physical World. Evidences of dimensions that run parallel and concurrently to our own, and since Christians believe God created everything he’d certainly have no problem doing it.

This Spiritual World is full of Fallen Angels, or Demons if you prefer, ruled over by Satan who used to be called Lucifer. Lucifer was one of the most high and exalted Angels in all of Heaven, until he developed Pride and felt he should be worshipped above God. There will be a conclusion to the war in Heaven and when he that happens you really don’t want to be around. That said Satan and his Angels and Demons and other dark spiritual things are on this earth right now. The Spiritual World is also full of Heavenly Angels; in fact it is my personal belief that each person on this earth has one of their very own. As you can imagine these two sides don’t get along very well.

On very rare occasions, times of severe stress or near death, people have experienced glimpses by which I mean very real experiences with all the senses intact moments inside the Spiritual World. What I am about to reveal to you is a very detailed account of my first glimpse into the Spiritual World.

It was in 85-86 when it happened, we were living in Loma Linda California at the time, and it was the summer.

The night was hot but I was still reading from my Bible that night, I was reading the 23rd Psalm. Even when I was young I found this passage to be a great comfort to me. As I was reading the room seemed to be swallowed up by darkness, it wasn’t simply that the light was sucked out but I could feel the darkness fill the room. It had a weight. I set my open Bible down because I could no longer hold it up, I was lying in bed propped up on my elbows. I remember feeling that I wished it would get pitch black, I was very afraid of what I would see.

I was walking back to Adobe House (the guest house I’m staying in at the moment) from my sisters. She lives on the other side of the city, and it’s around a four or five mile walk to get from one place to the other. I love walking; my new walking shoes with built in gel insoles make it all the more enjoyable. I’m almost glad I don’t at this time have a vehicle. This walk happens at night, and right now those nights are quite mild.

On this night I cut through on Cimarron, it saves a bit of time, and I meet up with Highland Avenue at the top and hang a left. Walking up the sidewalk I noticed in front of me a large, dark shape dart up the walk and round the corner. I had a feeling it was a dog. Personally I like dogs that I know, dogs behind fences and in daylight are good too because I can tell their state of mind. Large dogs, outside of fences and at night on top of that not so much.

I could’ve turned and gone back down the road hung a right and continued under the overpass and taken the next street on the right…and hit Highland. However I simply wanted to get home, if I had to confront the dog I would. Perhaps it had already bugged out and headed along Highland…to the right.

When I rounded the corner I was tense, afraid, knew it would jump on me and tear me to shreds. Instead it waited until I had almost calmed myself down before it shot out of the shadows, began a low rumbling growl and assaulted me with barks. I did two things wrong, I flinched and I turned my back, certainly it would pounce on me now. The barking reached a crescendo, and then the owner yelled out from behind the fence, and the fear passed.

Hello folks Project 3:16 is something I’ve had in mind to do for a while and I finally put the rubber to the road and statrted things rolling.

The idea was pretty much hey I wonder what each chapter 3 verse 16 says…and if I can bring forth a teaching from the words of the verse that could help or encourage even one person in their daily life. So after that brief introduction let’s look at Genesis chapter 3 verse 16.

Genesis 3:16 To the woman He said, I will greatly increase your sorrow and your conception. In pain you shall bear sons, and your desire shall be toward your husband, and he shall rule over you.

The first sin has been committed and God is talking with Eve. She has eaten of the forbidden fruit on the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, the only tree in the garden of which eating was forbidden. Therefore as much as it pains God to do so he must set forth punishment for her actions (punishment is also meted out upon Adam and the Serpent in this chapter).

He says that her sorrow will increase as will her pain in conception. It is interesting to note that she already had some suffering and pain beforehand intimating that pain and sorrow was around before this first sin. Perhaps even natural in the Garden of Eden. Now however they would be even more prevalent.

Also her desire would be towards her Beloved Adam, and she would be under his rule. The wishes of her husband she would fulfill.

Adam and Eve were made to perfectly complement each other, they were both meant to work together and work harmoniously in the garden. Neither was meant to be a ruler over the other. As man and woman, Adam and Eve were equal so thorough the little bit of His Spirit that God puts in us were we supposed to share equally in perfection with God.

Genesis in 3-D!

Well after a short break due to being sick it’s nice to come back and find out that Walden Media co-founder Cary Granat producing with Reel Fx is behind a new 30 million film production set to cover the book of Genesis.

And this is set to be in 3-D as well.

They’re going to be delivering some testing in 3-D before they get the green light but I must say I’m jazzed by the possibilities.

In The Beginning is on the way and I’ll keep you up to date on its progress.

Bible Runner updates tomorrow.
