From Adventism to Christ: What is The Seal of Christ?

Posted: December 6, 2009 in Christian Beliefs, From Adventism to Christ

Being a pastors kid is not something you can grow out of and is something that puts you seemingly in the crossroads of the Devil and his fallen Angels.

Thankfully it is also something that gives you an Anchor into the Bible, the Holy Word of a Divine God and the promises he gives all who will come to him.

For those who embrace the most important promise of John 3:16, and rekindle their Holy Spirit; it is this rebirth of the Holy Spirit within a Christian that is the key.

It is in fact the rekindling and nurturing of the Holy Spirit inside us by study, prayer and growth from the Holy Spirit, that SEALS us as Christians.

Hold on, some will claim the Keeping of the Seventh Day Sabbath is the seal of Christians.

That however is NOT what the Bible says, the Bible says the following things:

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession–to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13

Or this:

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30

Or this:

“Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

In each of these passages it states that the Holy Spirit of God is our seal.

In other words the Seal of Christ is The Holy Spirit and thusly as Christians so don’t have to worry about such things as a Sabbath Day.

Isn’t it wonderful that any one of us can be sealed in Christ through the Holy Spirit.

Praise His holy name.

In Christ,

Ross
