Verse of Hope: Revelation 3:10

Posted: December 1, 2009 in Christian Beliefs, The Bible

Revelation 3 Verse 10 is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It contains a promise to all Christians that believe that Christ’s death on the Cross over 2,000 years ago is a gift to us. It’s is God’s gift of a sinless sacrifice to cover for our sins. Christ’s perfect life is ours if we accept and believe.

That’s not all however, it gets better because Revelation 3 Verse 10 says the following:

“Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.Emphasis Mine.

I want to make sure you have this very clear. There are a great many well meaning followers of many religions who will try and tell you that the above verse means the following:

“Jesus is going to protect his believers though the coming time of testing.”

This time of Testing is know as The Tribulation period.

However this is Christ speaking, and if that’s what you’ve gotten out of what he just promised you’ve twisted His words.

His words clearly state this:

“…I will keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.”

He will keep us from that time. That Tribulation.

Because it’s meant for those who live on the earth.

How will he keep us from the hour of trial?

He’ll call us Christians to be with him, and doggone it if I’m always going to go where the Lord calls me.

The Lord doesn’t want to PUNISH His Bride…The Church…AKA Believing Christians.

He wants to Marry us. And just like a Jewish wedding he’s promised to whisk us off to His Father’s house where he’s already prepared a place for each of us.

And the Father’s house is in Heaven, and we’ll be there while the Tribulation is going on on Earth.

Because we will be “kept from” the hour of trial for the judgments are NOT for The Church…not for those who have accepted Christ.

I pray that you accept Christ, accept that amazing gift given in John 3:16:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believed in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Then you can also know that you can through a blossoming relationship with Christ joyously receive the Promise of Revelation 3:10.
