Since it is Christmas I wrote a Christmas poem.

Since I know you’re watching Lord…we praise your birth.

Jesus Christ Was Born

While the cold winds swept the mountains,
And the people of earth slept.
While the Angels sang their chorus,
A Mother and Father wept.

Through the darkened streets of Bethlehem,
To the lost the, the cold and lonely.
While the shepherds gathered up their flocks,
Was born the one and only.

This was the one who himself would bring,
Peace on Earth and goodwill to all men.
And while in the darkness they visited the child,
He, even then, began to fulfill the role He was given.

And lest we forget that on that night,
When the lowly cared and Angels took flight.
That we trust him by Faith and not by sight.
For through Him all things are made right.

Being a pastors kid is not something you can grow out of and is something that puts you seemingly in the crossroads of the Devil and his fallen Angels.

Thankfully it is also something that gives you an Anchor into the Bible, the Holy Word of a Divine God and the promises he gives all who will come to him.

For those who embrace the most important promise of John 3:16, and rekindle their Holy Spirit; it is this rebirth of the Holy Spirit within a Christian that is the key.

It is in fact the rekindling and nurturing of the Holy Spirit inside us by study, prayer and growth from the Holy Spirit, that SEALS us as Christians.

Hold on, some will claim the Keeping of the Seventh Day Sabbath is the seal of Christians.

That however is NOT what the Bible says, the Bible says the following things:

Revelation 3 Verse 10 is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It contains a promise to all Christians that believe that Christ’s death on the Cross over 2,000 years ago is a gift to us. It’s is God’s gift of a sinless sacrifice to cover for our sins. Christ’s perfect life is ours if we accept and believe.

That’s not all however, it gets better because Revelation 3 Verse 10 says the following:

“Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.Emphasis Mine.

I want to make sure you have this very clear. There are a great many well meaning followers of many religions who will try and tell you that the above verse means the following:

“Jesus is going to protect his believers though the coming time of testing.”

This time of Testing is know as The Tribulation period.

However this is Christ speaking, and if that’s what you’ve gotten out of what he just promised you’ve twisted His words.

His words clearly state this:
