mystudies. I’ve recently been reading through the Gospel of John, I read Chapter Chapter 7 today so I’ll be backing up a little bit and starting over. How to Study the Bible Inductively

That’s right some scientists at Cornell University actually erased time for 40 Trillionths of a second!

If you think that sounds like a short amount of time it is- it is an incredibly fractional amount of time. However there is one person who can hide time if you will for an even shorter period, and He promised to do that for His Bride. This person is God and that promise is known as the Rapture (Greek: Harpazo) which means to be snatched out by force. The event is described in fantastic detail in 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18- but there’s another passage that discusses just how FAST this Rapture is going to take.

1st Corinthians 15:51-53

51 Behold! I tell you a mystery.  We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and w this mortal body must put on immortality.

What exactly is the Twinkling of an eye? How fast is that?

Vincent’s Word Studies puts it this way:

Moment (ἀτόμῳ)

Only here in the New Testament. Atomos, from ἀ not and τέμνω to cut, whence our atom. An undivided point of time. The same idea of indivisibility appears in ἀκαρής (not in the New Testament), from ἀ not and κείρω to shear; primarily of hair too short to be cut, and often used in classical Greek of time, as in the phrase ἐν ἀκαρεῖ χρονοῦ in a moment of time.

Twinkling (ῥιπῇ)

Only here in the New Testament. Originally the swing or force with which a thing is thrown; a stroke or beat. Used in the classics of the rush of a storm, the flapping of wings; the buzz of a gnat; the quivering of a harpstring; the twinkling of the stars. Generally of any rapid movement, as of the feet in running, or the quick darting of a fish.

And Chuck Missler in his book Learn the Bible in 24 Hours puts it this way:

“What is the “twinkling of an eye”? (It’s not a blink.) I suspect that it’s about 10-43 seconds, which is the smallest quantum of time possible. In that instant we are going to be transformed. We shall be incorruptible.”

Just how fast is 10-43 seconds…

10-43 = 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 seconds

Which just goes to show that 40 trillionths of a second is actually a lot slower than it sounds.

Original Article: Cornell University Cloaks Time!

On the Aeropagus banner across the top of the booth are the words Origins-Meaning-Purpose-Destiny, I’ve found that sharing using those four words as a basis to be quite helpful. Discussing these four words objectively can help make sharing your faith a lot easier than it sometimes seems, and let’s be honest sharing ones faith can be very intimidating.

After the break I’ll take each word and break it down into a way to open the way of communication, hopefully you’ll find this post helpful and it will enable you to feel more confident in sharing your faith!

Origins

So what do you happened back then?

Do you think the origins of life were special or simply random chance?

If origins were special that has huge implications about not just life but especially you.

If origins were by chance there seems to be an awful lot of chance involved?

How much chance must there be in the origins of anything before believing in chance seems silly?

If origins were by chance, pure randomness, what does that say about you?

Does it seem logical that something that evolved from chance randomness over billions of years could create rational thought that suggests a random process that occurs over billions of years?

Does it seem like it takes more faith to believe in randomness creating all you see or an entity that has always existed created all that we see including ourselves?

Do you think that people created evolution to do away with God?

Is randmoness in origins an excuse to call ones-self God?

Meaning

There is no meaning in life if you truly believe that you are the result of random processes.

Sure you will live things of meaning to family and friends but how long will they remember what you did, said, or proposed after you return to nothingness?

Isn’t the essence of random chance implying this as existence: random things from nothing create something, over billions of years humans evolves from this randomness, you are an entity that somehow exists out of this random nothingness. Since you are random, a collection of nothing that happens to be human your life is just what you accomplish- and then you die and return to nothing.

In the Bible it says that God knitted and formed us in our mother’s womb- that shows an immense dedication and love- not only that but it gives us meaning.

When we know and realize that we are a special creation, that we were formed in the womb by God, it enables us to begin to understand that our lives have meaning in God’s eyes.

We were designed not simply a random creation made up of random chance and nothing but in fact ARE the crowning achievement of the creation work of GOD.

Our meaning is that we are to look and seek out our Creator because He’s cared about us since inception. We are to Ask of Him…Seek for Him…and Knock off all conceivable avenues to find out more about Him- especially the Bible.

Purpose

Does it make sense that something that is randomly built from chance wouldn’t really have a true purpose?

Wouldn’t you agree that a great many people seem to go “do stuff” with no discernable plan or purpose?

There seems to be a distinct lack of direction for a great many of the H.S. and College age youth- they cannot seem to settle on a purpose.

Perhaps this lack of purpose is indicative of the mindset of a people who have accepted evolution over creation?

Since there is a special creation we do have a purpose and it up to us to fulfill that purpose.

The first step in fulfilling that purpose is to seek out God. (Many people feel an emptiness and try and fill it with anything but God).

God asks us to look into Him and investigate Him. (“Taste and see that the Lord is good.”)

Our purpose when we investigate God is to make a choice based on that investigation. Either we’ll believe in what we’ve discovered about God or we won’t. It is OUR choice we have FREE WILL to choose. (We in fact have free will to choose to even investigate God or not).

When we believe in God, and admit our need for the Salvation provided by the Cross- we enter our destiny and fulfill our meaning.

Our meaning is to Bring Glory and Honor to God!

Destiny

I come into existence- I live- I die.

I’m random and my destiny is to live and then cease to exist.

There is no life after death. My destiny is to be forgotten.

Destiny is nothing.

In truth destiny is actually eternal.

At the end of your life, you will have to account for all of your actions.

Did you seek God out or not? Did you live like your purpose was to seek out God or to have a good time with the time you’d be here to experience? Did you believe in Special Creation or randomness in nothing by chance forming something? Did you wake up to the hard truth that you’re a sinner and that the only way to truly live is through Jesus Christ who died on the Cross of Calvary to take away your sins?

You will either enter into Eternal Life the moment you believe in Christ as your Lord and Savior or you will in the end face eternal Torment and Separation from God in Hell and finally in the Lake of fire.

God doesn’t send anyone to Hell, He simply validates a choice that they’ve made by their lives actions.

It truly is your choice.

For the believer, your destiny is eternity, being at the side of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ FOREVER!

The moment of belief you are Indwelt and Sealed by God the Holy Spirit- once you are sealed God does not unseal.

He is with you and in you, your body is the Temple of The Holy Spirit.

You HAVE Eternal Life the moment you believe!

You are guaranteed your Destiny!

You are “transferred from the Domain of Darkness to the Kingdom of the Son He loves.” Colossians Chapter 1.

In Conclusion

The above lines, questions, and statements are all there to kickstart your own thought processes so you can witness using the Origins- Meaning-Purpose-Destiny word set. I’ve found such a freedom in the options allowed with using this set of words, but remember that the first and most important part of any witness begins with being studiousness in reading the Word; and praying that the Lord would place your paths on intersect with the people He wants you to share the Gospel with.

Yeah this has been one that’s for certain.

I’d like to apologize to my readers for being so very silent and only posting new videos when I have updated the blog. This was

certainly not intentional, I simply have been swamped with a million projects and am almost constantly working on one thing or another.

I will be returning to a more active blogging schedule soon.

Praise God of the gift of His Son.

This is the time of year when we need to remember our Lord and Savior, the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

The Eternal Son gave up His place in Heaven and was born just like you and I were in that he was a baby (he was born alive spiritually and physically). The creator of all things, outside of time a space, entered into this fallen creation. Can you imagine how much it pained Him to grow up in time, but not simply in time but in a world of fallen decay.

How it must have pained Christ to witness the pain and hurt. And to offer glimpses of the reality of the perfection of original creation, when He healed the sick, restored sight, and raised the dead to life.

Yet His entire life was one of certainty.

He was certain to succeed.

He was certain to be sinless.

He was certain to be sacrificed.

He was certain to be raised.

Just as it is certain that He will come again to call us to Himself.

If you don’t know God as your Father, and you don’t know the indwelling of the Holy Spirit it is because you need to surrender into the Salvation that Jesus Christ was born to die for on that Roman Cross.

The Christ is calling out to you, He genuinely wants a personal relationship with you, all He asks is that you surrender and enter His rest.

In the coming year heed His call, examine Christ and taste and see that the Lord is good.

He longs to welcome you home.

Synopsis: It is two years after the Rapture of the Church. The Global Protective Forces (GPF) are constantly on the lookout for Christians who continually disturb the peace with their singular outlook. The world thought that it would be quieter when all those Christians vanished, but now there are more in this surviving remnant than there ever were before. However Christians are forced to exist in underground communities referred to as the Christian Underground (C.U.), they are branded as criminals, and snatched from the streets on a whim by GPF forces. It is in this would that I found Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, now my life is His and I do the work He wants me to do. Along with groups of like people around the world I’m part of a team of people called Runners, we deliver sensitive information from C.U. location to C.U. location. The Bible has been outlawed and those found are destroyed, it is my job to get the Word, hard copy or digital- or what ever needs to be transported safely to its destination. We do this by foot- there is too much surveillance on public transportation- and the average citizen would turn us in for a nickle.

I thought it high time that I finally share some more of my poetry on here on the BibleRunner and I can think of no better reason to write my first poetry post, in a long time, then about Psalm 23.

I wrote this verse on Psalm 23 for a book that my Mum is putting together, since we are working on a different edit of the verse for that publication, one that I feel differs significantly from the original you are about to see I have chosen to post the original here. The story behind this verse is that I was asked to write the 23rd Psalm from the perspective of my time being homeless and living on the street by Grace through Faith.  (Technically I am still homeless in that I am living with a Brother in Christ in his place by his grace).

So last week I sat down to finally take a good long look at the 6 verses of the 23rd Psalm to break it down, and I wrote the first of many drafts. Yesterday God brought me back to it again with the unconventional, and daunting proposal, of writing it more as a traditional Psalm than a poem.  I’m humbled to share that psalm/poem with you today.

I’ve numbered the verses of my poem so that you can tell where each verse of the original Psalm is broken down. I hope you find peace as I share with you: When I’m Walking the Streets.

When I’m Walking the Streets (Psalm 23)

1) Since the Lord is My Shepherd I rest in His Grace,

He gives me His peace as I go place to place.

2) As I walk through this life where none seem to care,

He leads me to pastures and His love blossoms there.

Through His love and His peace I enter my dreams,

Where the truth of His word washes like peaceful streams.

3) Through His sleep and His peace I wake up at length,

And by the food of His Word I regain all my strength.

4) When I walk thru the ‘hood I know You are in me,

In the darkest night You are there for all to see.

I am guided in all my steps by the Word of life,

Through answered prayer I’m given peace from strife.

5) Everyday You provide mercies afresh from the windows of Heaven,

All those who trouble me, and despise You see the blessings I’m given.

Morning by Morning You douse me afresh with Your Spirit,

Even in my fleshly wants You have provided all that really matters.

Eternal life in You.

6) Your most faithful love endlessly pursues me,

It chases me down until I can see.

All of my days are nothing without You.

Lord Your pursuit was worth every moment,

You are my shelter and my refuge.

Not a moment was lost, not a second wasted each day,

For I have been chastened, and You have provided the way.

I will rest in your Grace, and live as a Captive of your Presence.

Forever.
